How insulting ...... the OP has stated they are on incapacity benefit not unemployment benefit.

A person is on incapacity benefit because for whatever reason they can not work be it

a)
short / medium term while on the waiting list for an operation followed by the time afterwards to recover before they are fit to work again.

b)
long term / permanent because their condition can not be treated either at all or to a level where they can work.

A lot of people do not realise that many of the coalition benefit cuts do not hit until April.

If you haven't already done so, it might be worth to check with the Citizens Advice Bureau to find out what is actually coming in.

Obviously it depends on how much people in work take home. But the average take home pay in Britain is about ?20K/yr as far as I am aware. Clearly some people are on less than that.

But 1% (the limit on benefit increases) of fuck all tends to be less than fuck all at a time when inflation is way above that.

The fight is not:

Workers with unemployed.

It is workers and unemployed against a government which is trying to make innocent people pay for a banking crisis which had nothing to do with them.
