The Catholic chuurch is one hideous institution. Apparently the rule that all clergy had to be celibate was only introduced so the Catholic church could make money. Most, if not all, senior Clergy were originally married including at least 11 out of the 12 Apostles. Because these people were generally wealthy they would do what most people who are wealthy do when they die - leave their money to their family. This new celibacy rule meant they would have no family to leave their cash to, so would most likely leave it to the Church. As the decades and centuries went on, the Catholic church was turned into a multi-billion pound operation.

They surpressed learning and literacy in Europe and did everything they could to stop communities and countries from adopting the printing-press as a tool of spreading and promulgating knowledge. The didn't want the prols to have education and understanding, they wanted them kept down and for Clergy to be the only educated people - this way the Catholic church would remain all powerful and controlling as their flocks would be more simple than them.

They turned a blind eye to over 1700 years of child abuse, it goes back as far as the 4th century. Instead of turning child raping Priests over to the Police, these sick perverted fuckers were instead just moved to new positions - and the people moving them knew full well they would do it again, and they did. So vast numbers of senior clergy, Cardinals, Bishops and Popes facilitated child rape on a vast scale.

If you take a fox than has already obliterated one chicken coup (or even quite a few chicken coups) and go place it in another chicken coup, and then walk away, you are effecticely saying "I know full well what it will do and I am content for that to happen". So senior Catholic church figures effectively condoned and supported child rape for centuries and centuries. This guy who is about to leave will probably spend the rest of his life jerking off to pictures of boys on the internet.

The Catholic church is evil - it's about money, power, and condoning and allowing child rape. How can anyone see this as an entity that deserves any praise?
