How's the walking wounded?
Better I hope.

I had similar distress last year, when I was losing the poundage.

Two root canals at the same time!

Helped to keep the weight off, because I didn't eat much more than soup but by fuck, I never want to go through that again.

Sore.
Have to keep seated most of the time. Its too much strain on my guts if Im moving/walking about too long.
Going to local surgury to get dressing changed today.
And will also be asking why it is that when I take the paracetamol and ibuprofen they gave me I end up sweating all over and my guts go bright red !!

I was just about to say the 'sweats and redness' you talked about in your last post probably meant some sort of infection.

Hope it gets sorted.

Finaly feeling better after a poxy week.
Couldnt stand for even a few min without it feeling like I was being stabbed in the guts.
Thursday I didnt even go downstairs as I could hardly move.
But the eraly hours of today (friday) I was sitting up in bed reading my kindle when I noticed my wound dressing. It was full up with a red liquid !!
Dressing off and it was spewing out some gunk which stunk.
After a few mins of this it stopped so I re-dressed my wound. About 6am I awoke and again the dressing was full. Same again and more gunk came out.
But now I notice I can move around with no pain ?!?!?
The pain has gone which I have had all week.
Docs this morning and he drained a bit more gunk and says when it stops it will heal (at last I hope)

This is the second time I have been in a hospital for an operation and the second time I have had an infection after.

Nasty, infections when they get a hold. Take your vitamins & minerals, plenty of fruit and eat well. The least you can do is give your body all the nutrients it needs to keep it and your immune system in good nick. Plenty of water, too!

Hope it works out.

I would also add that letting air get to the wound, may help it heal a bit quicker. Sometimes dressings can be more harm than good, by letting it fester.

Not sure if it's still being dressed but it may be worth letting a fair bit of air at it.

Doesn't sound like it would make it any worse...

If you're feeling particularly brave, taking a bath with a cup of salt diluted in it, will also help. Salt water is definitely a great and natural gunk remover.

Hope it de-gunks quickly and you get back to pounding the streets, on your quest to lose the lbs.
