There's no need for such stupid and baseless theories. Savile was very clever, he made sure that he raised millions for charities such as Stoke Mandeville. Even if an allegation was made by some poor girl in an approved school, who was going to be believed, a naughty girl or a man who raised millions for good causes? He was one of the most cynical sex criminals ever, but there is no need to formulate groundless theories about cover-ups, unless you have any evidence of course...

behind the facade he was devious and evil - you have to remember that he lived in a era of poor communications and was able to dart about the country and partake in his sick crimes in many places and the people involved never managed to connect. this was something that he mastered and hid behind.

If he was starting off today with media savy kids and such then I dont think he would have gotten anywhere as large as what he did, hed have been found out and what with the advances in investigations then I think he would be in prison now.

Reading the reports - it begars belief that he did what he did for as long as he did, but no I dont think there was any coverup - maybe now there might be as people fight to cover up ineptitude and incompetancy as they start to lay blame and open the gates for compensation claims.

again it was back then and people didnt want to cause a stink........ and it was all hearsay from all accounts. No firm proof and the girls didnt want to go up as they didnt think there was any one else that he had done that to a one off.

he also had mates that could oil things over for him - he wasnt poor and a few pounds here or there bought hush.

truly sad in all eyes - makes you think about it though and no I dont think there was any systematic cover up, just think it was mis management and one hand not knowing what the other was doing....
