Farmers and food prices

Post by Vosmith »

Every time I put the TV on it seems to some farmer being interviewed about how bad his crops have been because there has been so much rain and so food prices are about to rocket. Yet it was less than a year ago that they were complaining that without any rain food prices were set to go through the roof. We've had this weather for quite a few years now, so why is it only recently they have started complaining? Is it the supermarkets and their tight margins? Or are we being prepared by the authorities for yet more economic misery?
