Gun sales always go up in the States after multiple murder events like this.
People worry that they might ban assault weapons as a result, so they nip out and buy an extra one or two!

There are more restrictions around the sale of Sudafed than certain weapons in the US.

Obama's attempt to clamp down on gun ownership in the USA will fail. Politicians there do not have sufficient power to revise the Constitution and the Amendments. He will talk about this, he may ideally want to change things, but it won't happen. An interesting film/documentary about all this is 'Bowling For Columbine' by Michael Moore. I've seen it several times. We learn that you can buy packs of bullets in the USA as easily as buying a packet of pens or a magazine - and often in the same shops. You can buy guns as easily as rent an 18 certificate film. Micheal Moore's interview with National Rifle Association figure Charlton Heston (yes, he was an actor too) is very revealing and interesting also. Here is something from the film: the entire movie is a real life documentary but there's this three minute specially made documentary cartoon in the middle of it all. Have a watch and learn about "A brief history of the United States".

Reports coming in that the National Rifle Association have come up with an idea: armed guards in every school.

Re: NRA announcement:
Of course the only solution to this, as I have previously stated, is to arm each child attending school and make sure they know how to use a weapon. I would suggest an assault rifle so that they are on a similar level as a possible gunman. Obviously there is a risk of an arms race. Gunman buys sub machine gun. Kids need to learn how to deploy rocket launcher etc......
Obviously, having an armed guard at each school wouldn't work. What do the kids do when they leave the school premises? They can be picked off with ease.
Arm our kids. You know it makes sense.

David
Watch this David, it's only 3 minutes long. It's taken from the Michael Moore film 'Bowling For Columbine':
