Bruce at Wembley

Post by andy at handiwork »

Anybody else fail to get tickets this morning? Despite being on the site right on the dot of 9am. Not only that, but within a few minutes many were on inflated resale sites, including the one owned by effing Ticketmaster.

Nah - fuck it.

If I have to jump through hoops and/or pay through the nose I'm not going to bother (main reason I don't go to "big" concerts these days).

Saw him in '88 so ticked that box long ago.

Off to Hampden, only 90 mins away, there and back in a day.

Saw Bruce and the E Street Band in 85 and twice in 88 (all three gigs at Wembley). The first two were his own shows, the last one was him headlining an Amnesty International festival. Saw him in 93, with another backing band, at Milton Keynes. He is one of the greateast live performers ever - a four hour set. Not many artists do that.
