The promiscious African trucker...

Post by max_tranmere »

'The promiscious African trucker' was mentioned by someone in my thread about 1 in 12 gay people in London having AIDS, and I wrote a description of him in a post as I found the reference quite funny. One Eyed Jack mentioned my description sounded more like a voodoo pimp from Haiti. I said that, after reading back what I wrote, that he sounded a bit like a dood from Harlem in the 1970's. Basically he sounded much more black American /West Indian than African. I did mention however that he smoked SM sweet menthol (a big brand in Nigeria) but I also mentioned him listening to loud calypso on his huge stereo system as he cruised in his 18-wheeler Mac truck around the motorways of Europe.

Let's change the calypso music for this dude D'banj. He is apparently one of the biggest artists in Nigeria. As you can see however he is very like many of the rap doods from America. He has even called this song "Mr Endowed", and the video is all expensive cars and babes. So for the Nigerian's it seems to be all big dicks, money, sports cars, and chicks - like with the American rap guys. But this song is more appropriate for the promiscuous African trucker to have on his sound system, than calypso. Try and picture him in his purple chords, blue denim waistcoat, huge afro, black zip-up platform boots, cruising with this on the stereo!

Here is his brand of cigarettes:

Long live the promiscious African trucker! Lol.

I always thought Africans hid in the back of trucks? Maybe it's only when they come to the UK.

stereo....

more like racist stereotypical tosh ! 10-4

its a Mack truck by the way - every one has a bulldog on the hood aswell, all because of the british bulldog.

History of the Term
During World War I, Mack supplied thousands of its AC model heavy duty trucks to both the United States military and that of Great Britain. British soldiers were impressed with the capabilities and resilience of the trucks, and legend has it that the soldiers began referring to the trucks as "Mack bulldogs." Whether it was the British soldiers themselves or, as has also been suggested, a trade publication that referred to the trucks as having "the tenacity of a British bull dog," the nickname stuck, and in 1992 the company adopted the bulldog as its corporate symbol.

I got the idea for the 'Mac truck' from Mad Max 2. If you've seen it there is an amazing chase scene where Max is at the wheel and a spectacular crash at the end. Having done research online, you're right that I spelt it wrong and it is 'Mack truck'. I can only assume they built them down-under aswell as one featured in this movie.

Our friend the promicious African trucker certainly drives one. "hey hussey, you wanna enter my cab. I give you a ride!"

Well yeah, but for all the hand-wringing and self-righteous pontificating that some people indulge in over "negative stereotyping", stereotypes do exist for a reason, i.e. that a particular group does have a tendency to display some particular trait or other.
