Saw them in Stuttgart in 1999.
Even though I've never been a massive fan, I went out of curiosity because they were just down the road from where I was living at the time, and I'd heard they were great live.
Didn't regret it, it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.
I still have my ticket stub - price DM 148, which at the time was around 50 quid.

I hope they remember to stock up on Sanatagen and Werther's Originals.

I wouldn't pay that sort of money either Arginald. Much as I enjoyed them when I saw them in '99.

And that Eric is the bargain basement ticket. Hospitality packages are available for ?950 a pop. Corporate entertainment that will go to people who couldn't recognise the riff to Jumpin Jack Flash! I bet there's a Royal Box aswell!
Re: Stones gigs in London and New York announced
Fucking rip-off. Especially with that 140 quid "processing fee".

Having read this, I hope that people now vote with their wallets and don't bother, and that the Stones just end up playing to a handful of "corporate hospitaility" suits. It would be no more than they deserve.
They're good. But they're not THAT good. They're also pushing 70 so they're not going to be as good as they once were either. I guess that there'll always be "fools and their money" though.

The front 60 rows will be full of bankers in suits just waltzed in from the Bollinger tent. Rolling Stones you say Giles? Who are they?
