I wonder if his career will be ruined, entertainers have to do something very bad indeed to disappear off the radar completely (like Jonathan King or Gary Glitter), there is a chance Justin Lee Collins will bounce back. He did bad but hardly got any punishment. He deserved more of a punishment. 140 hours of unpaid work used to mean cleaning graffiti off walls, sweeping up leaves in the bitter cold, etc. Now you can 'serve your sentence' working in a charity shop. Stand around and chat and that counts as a whole days 'work'.

I am intrigued how this woman got the case to Court. I am not saying it shouldn't have gone to Court, but she either got Legal Aid for it (unlikely), or paid loads of money herself and risked losing everything if it failed (also unlikely). I heard nothing about her getting any compensation or whether Collins is now about to go skint having to pay his and her costs. No mention was made on the news.

This wasn't a civil case, so she had nothing to do with it coming to court, other than reporting his behaviour to the police and making a complaint.
