I don't think that's true. It wasn't always in our favour - Reagan refused to help us in the Falklands War claiming America was a friend to both countries.

I think that you will find that attitude was for public consumption.
In actual fact the US gave us no end of help, technically with an endless supply of Sidewinder AA missiles and Intelligence gleaned from their Int means.

Not sure at all if we are still fully aware of the help that was given, even heard talk of the Americans offering us a small Marine Corp Carrier if either of ours were seriously damaged or sunk, it was not to be used to launch operations but more of a floating recovery pad and workshop.

Yes Frank, personally I couldn't give a fuck about "Justice for Abu", but I do care about the Yanks appearing to be now in charge of our legal system. Abu Hamza is no more than a diversion, a side show, so the Yanks can justify meddling in our affairs and to use him to scare their own people.Those who jump for joy at Abu's extradition, will not be laughing, when Uncle Sam ends up having his own seat in our court proceedings whenever he wishes. If this was a two way street it wouldn't be so bad, but show me a case where we have managed to exradite a Yank for some offence?
