Interesting Pat Condell video...
I often watch his clips, as do millions of other people on YouTube, as he has some interesting things to say. Here is the latest, which focuses on the muslim response to that recent film. Post any comments below:

The EDL has some interesting things to say. And focus quite a bit on Muslims who are apparently responsible for just about everything that is terrible.
They obviously haven't followed David Cameron's career!

Pat Condell is a bit of an arsehole, but he makes good points re religion (not just Islam).
It's not his fault, either, if the EDL have become fans of his. Hitler loved Charlie Chaplin, didn't he? !adolf!

Re: Interesting Pat Condell video...
I dont think he did, especially not after Chaplin made a direct attack on the nazi loon viz. the Great Dictator.

Ah....I thought I heard Hitler was a fan of Chaplin's. Regardless, if Hitler was, we shouldn't judge Chaplin differently for it.

Samuel...
"Pat Condell is a bit of an arsehole,"
Quite
"he makes good points re religion (not just Islam)."
I am sure that the EDL like him for his incisive critique of Christianity.
Here is a link to a site of which I am sure you will approve - "The Friendly Atheist" Video of Pat Condell from one particular atheist's viewpoint.

I don't think Hitler enjoyed Charlie Chaplin for Chaplin's non-stop anti-Jewish rhetoric did he?
Maybe what the EDL like about Condell is his silent slapstick humour. Perhaps Max can supply a link to a sample.

Max: some comments about vid
1. Fifth rate arguments from 4th rate brain
2. Suggest Condell learns the meaning of the word "balance"
3. Did I miss the endless rioting that took place in the UK as "Muslims"
rioted about the US made anti-Islamic film? Got a link to that Condell vid?
4. Did Condell speak out in favour of Babar Ahmad as part of his paean to western democracy. You know the Babar Ahmad who has spent 8 years in a UK jail without trial and is now due to be shipped off to the US to stand trial as a result of Blunkett's asinine extradition treaty with the States. When if he had been charged in the UK with evidence straightaway he would be out of by now a free man, even if he had been found guilty as charged.
5. Did I miss the Condell vid about the hundreds of thousands of innocent Muslims killed in Iraq as a result of trumped up evidence from the US and the UK?

Yes, Chaplin's the Great Dictator. Hitler's favourite film!

Depends on content, surely? Personally, I can't stand the bit where Chaplin sets fire to a bunch of Jews, laughs a lot and turns around and does that funny walk off into the sunset, waggling his bowler hat as he goes.
Apparently Hitler loved it!

I don't see your point. I've based my opinion on him (an arsehole) from some of the content of the few videos I've seen, and his attitude in them. You gave the impression you think he's an arsehole based on how the EDL think about him.
I've seen clips of him having a go at Christianity (paedo priests etc) and Islam. If the EDL choose to pick up on one subject, which is more closely aligned to their agenda, then I don't think it's as fair to judge Pat Condell on that. The EDL would probably back anyone that has a fear/hatred/dislike of Islam. Are you saying no one should criticise Islam for fear of being associated with a suspiciously racist group or organisation?
I don't think Hitler enjoyed Charlie Chaplin for Chaplin's non-stop anti-Jewish rhetoric did he?
You cannot compare European anti-Semitism around the beginning of the 20th century with a dislike of Islam. One is a hatred of a race or ethnicity, the other a hatred of a philosophy or idea. Philosophies and ideas can be changed, unlike your race.
Judging, criticising and shunning people for who they are is ok in my book; judging, criticising and shunning people for what they are is not. The distinction is very clear in my head.
