Dunno about the Tory MP bit, but Strauss was a fine England captain. When he took over in 2009, the England team was in a shambles.

Under his guidance and the coaching staff, England's talented players were welded into a team got to be Number 1 test side in the world.

I think it was right for him to step down because his batting has been poor for quite a time now and showed few signs of improving.

Anyway, Strauss good luck to you. Of course, if he is going to be standing as a Tory MP, hopefully he will be no more successful than his recent batting form!!!

I do wish he had delayed his leaving until all the fun and frolics over KP had been sorted.
