Again a professional driver drives according to the prevailing conditions and other traffic on the road. if you are the one out of the ordinary then you act accordingly and dont take chances with the geezer in front.....

On a more serious note I am a lifelong reader of the automotive bible that is Autocar. As any decent petrolhead will know more powerful cars tend to be safer, have better brakes, tyres, anti skid and yaw control and handle much better. I recall a great interview with BMWs chassis guru, a most normal looking 60+ year old. He said he did not make cars for good drivers to enjoy as much as making safe cars that keep bad drivers from doing themselves harm.
