Boris tells it like it is
Couldn't have put it better myself. Catch it before the Brand nazis have it taken down.

I quite liked the story I heard this morning that Apple's new OS 10.8 (Mountain Lion) software, due to be launched today, had been put back 48 hrs, as Apple had paid ?500m to the Olympics to have it launched as part of the opening ceremony, featuring a naked Boris Johnson wrestling a Mountain Lion in the arena.
We have need of you again, great king.

It will take a bit more than that to get me to watch a single minute of olympics coverage.

Army security
I did read somewhere that because of G4S's cockups, there are more soldiers either deployed or on standby for the Olympic games security roles, than are currently in Afghanistan.
Maybe they think the Taliban are coming over here for the two week period. Presumably without tickets or boarding passes like the 11 year old who went on a day trip from Manchester to Rome without either.

Troops are currently stationed at Tobacco Dock, Wapping. Broadly, they've treated locals with respect, but, curiously, a few female squaddies have 'let the side down' with unnecessary agressiveness, attempting to provoke fights/arguments etc.

Depends on the uniform. WRENS were the best, but they have now been subsumed into the main body of the Navy, and wear the same uniforms as the men. It looks a bit odd to me, and not at all attractive.
