Oh no, shock horror!!!!!!

Post by David Johnson »

Would you Adam and Eve it? Fresh after the news that our wonderful coalition government (cheer leader in chief, Jim Slippo) is going to tackle the dodgy financial sector, comes the report that the government has announced its full confidence in the ex-chairman of HSBC.

You know the bank that likes to do business with Mexican drug cartels and allegedly provided guidebooks on how to make money laundering go with a ring ting ting?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-18958335

I can hear forumites say - How can this be? How can this fit in with the government's plans to take on tax avoidance?

Well cynics might suggest that it's because the ex-chairman, Lord Green is currently the coalition Trade Minister.

And we know what sort of trade might be going down, don't we forumites?

Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

But don't listen to these weasel words forumites, I am sure all is fine and dandy with the coalition.

Unfortunately though David, your New Labour DID ABSOLUTELY FUCK ALL TO EITHER CONTROL OR LEGISLATE AGAINST ANY BANK, FINANCIAL INSTITUTION OR BILLIONAIRE at any time throughout its 13 years of calamitous rule.

That is their job, to curb the rich, after all have you forgotten your puppet masters are called, New LABOUR???? "Labour" as in "Work for a living" rather than being a But of course your beloved leader, Tony Blair, is earning ?20 million a year isn't he? Some "Socialist"!laugh!

David, you can scream till you are blue in the face, "It's the Tories who are to blame!" You can shout from every roof top, "Blame the Tories!", you could even make your own brand of rock and sell it on Brighton beach with the words, "I blame the Tories" written throughout it or you could throw yourself out of a plane and plummet to earth with a huge sign attached to you saying, "YOU ARE ALL FOOLS I BLAME THE TORIES FOR EVERYTHING!", but it would be all to no avail because:

YOUR NEW LABOUR CHAMPAGNE SOCIALISTS DID ABSOLUTELY FUCK ALL, ZILCH, ZERO, NULL, NOTHING,IN FACT BUGGER ALL, TO CURB THESE BASTARDS, IN FACT THEY ENCOURAGED AND SANCTIONED THEM!

For once in your life open your eyes and see the truth, you simply can't be that blind!

Dear Cupcake

So many words, so little meaning.

As you know, my little trolling friend, I have frequently stated that Labour did bugger all to cut back on tax avoidance.

Now go away, use your brain and come back and challenge me on the subject of the post i.e. why are the Tories who you state are doing so much more than Labour ever did, actually backing the person who was in charge of HSBC when they were money laundering worldwide on an enormous scale.

Go on, you can write a sensible post, if you really try.

!wink!

And a few facts rather than a Slip rant

Here is some detail re. the HSBC case.

http://www.newstatesman.com/business/bu ... laundering

For example who was the chairman of HSBC when:

1. The Mexican subsidiary of HSBC shipped to the US subsidiary in 2007-8, $7 billion in physical US dollars. Hey those Mexicans are great savers!!!!!

2. Non-US HSBC subsidiaries circumvented US rules on transactions with Iran by sending "nearly 25,000 transactions involving $19.4 billion" through HSBC America accounts over seven years without disclosing those transactions? links to Iran.

3.Over four years, HSBC cleared $29m in "obviously suspicious" travellers cheques for an unnamed Japanese bank, for the aid of Russians "who claimed to be in the used car business".

Well speaking of trade, come on down, Lord Green, ex HSBC chairman and current Trade Minister in HMG.

Perhaps Cameron can get him involved in the consultation about "possibly naming and shaming people with aggressive tax avoidance schemes?"
