First we had Phoney Tony "peace envoy" and now Broon is an "education envoy".

Always jobs for the boys isn't it? If not the EU then there's always the UN to fall back on for a no doubt handsomely rewarded sinecure.

The position is unpaid.

So it is David. I checked and you are quite correct (in this case anyway !wink!). My cynicism got the better of me.

Yes, I hope Eric, that you will join me in celebrating Gordon Brown as the Mother Theresa of modern times.

Or perhaps, this analogy is a tad far-fetched.

You mean Gordon Brown is going to inflict more misery and despair on a poverty-stricken and diseased group of society, praise and glorify their suffering and collect millions from rich people of questionable character?

That kind of Mother Teresa? (no 'h' needed).

I have decided to introduce a "pick an answer from a number of options" type post

Option 1

Actually what I meant to say was that Gordon Brown is the Che Guevara of modern times.

I just spelt Che's name wrong.

Cue - is that the Che Guevara who...

!wink!

Option 2

Actually I was referring to Mother Theresa ("h" needed) who lives in number 73 in our street. She's a very nice lady.

!wink!

The position is unpaid but I bet you could live very comfortably on his expenses.
Is he standing down as an MP or are we, the tax payers, funding his UN job?
