Miss Holocaust Survivor 2012

Just to prove Life is always more bizarre than fiction, I see the Israelis have
had a Miss Holocaust Survivor beauty pageant. The youngest "hottie" from
the concentration camps was 74, the oldest 97 !
Personally I am all for these brave ladies enjoying life but staging a beauty
pageant strikes me as odd, if not somewhat tasteless.
Maybe the winner and her runners-up could join the girls of Miss Landmine
2012 (held for survivors of landmine explosions in Cambodia) or Miss Jumbo
Thailand, an annual pageant for.....well, jumbo-sized girls !!
