Rio, how to get revenge
Go round to Mrs Terry's house, tell her she looks lovely, give her some flowers, a little chit chat then nail her all over the house and send the photos to the BNP's poster boy in Poland. That should annoy JT no end!

Re: Rio, how to get revenge
Both Terry and Perroncel denied having an affair and indeed several newspapers, including the Mirror and the NotW printed retractions and apologies, albeit tucked away on lesser pages. Still why bother with the truth when Terry is such an easy target to bash?
Rio's own club manager doubted his ability to survive playing so many high intensity games in such a short period of time... so if SAF wouldn't recommend him for the England squad, why should Hodgson?
Rio is too old, too slow, too injury prone and not at the required fitness levels... his not being in the England squad has everything to do with that, but the Terry hating media would prefer it were because of the pending court case regarding his brother Anton
Cards on the table... I'm one of the few Chelsea fans that don't particularly like Terry (and I wish he'd gone to Man City a few years ago when it was suggested they'd made a bid for him). I find him odious in many ways, and he deserves some of the stick he receives, BUT he didn't shag his ex team mates ex wife (see how many ex's there are, and who really cares if he did? Have you never shagged an ex mates ex girlfriend?) and as a club Chelsea had all the non-playing squad members changed into team kit at the Champion's League Final as a form of team bonding... a way of saying, reaching this final is down to every member of the squad, not just the XI on the field. Yet the media made a big song and dance of Terry celebrating wearing his kit, but no mention of Meirles, Ramires, Ivanovic (all also suspended) plus many others not playing ALSO celebrating in full kit!!! Look at the photos... all four keepers celebrating in full kit, yet only Cech played. Why no cries of derision at Blackman, Hilario and Turnbull all wearing their kit?

But Terry spent a lot of dosh trying to keep it out of the papers. And Perroncel did take her time (a few months?) before denying anything happened. If I was a cynic I'd guess she was willing to drip feed the press with every detail until she got a few payments from Mr. Terry, to which she then denied it robustly enough for the papers to be forced to drop it.

Something like 'He couldn't play 3 games in 9 days' or some such. Except Rio had played 3 games in 10 days during the title run-in. I'd say it was more about Fergie protecting Man Utd's interests.
Rio is too old, too slow, too injury prone and not at the required fitness levels...
Rio's played 30 league games this season. Only one less than Terry. And even a slower, older Rio is faster than John Terry. Really, Bob! Terry has the turning circle of an oil tanker.

It is. That's why Roy Hodgson picked an inexperienced right-back to replace a specialist central defender in Garry Cahill.

I'm slightly in more agreement with you on this one. Although, if I was Chelsea and had John Terry insisting he was in the photos, fully kitted, I too would tell all the other non-participants to do the same, otherwise it would look very obvious, and quite hilarious. Why Chelsea would want to take part in a team bonding exercise directly after the last game of the season I cannot fathom. That's the stuff you do running up to important games, not after them!
The facts are:
1) Rio played the last 14 games for Man Utd on the trot, without injury.
2) Rio was a major part of the second meanest defence in the EPL last season.
3) Rio has been training daily at Carrington, and even played in a friendly in Korea last week. Terry, has only played 25 mins football since being sent-off vs Barcelona 6 weeks ago and has a dodgy hamstring.
4) Rio hasn't been nutmegged 3 times in one game like Terry was vs Liverpool.
Not to be a total Terry-hater, I'll finish with this: I think Terry is England's best central defender on his day, with Rio just behind. I do think, though, that Rio's form over the last 6 months has been much better than Terry's form. Rio should have gone to the Euros.

Just for the record, John Terry didn't insist on being in the photos fully kitted. That is untruthful.
The truthful version of events is that before the final Chelsea asked UEFA if their suspended players were able to lift the cup and take part in celebrations, if of course Chelsea were to win the cup. UEFA replied that yes they could BUT insisted that if so they would have to be fully kitted.
It follows that Bob has also erred in saying the full kit idea was for team bonding, as it was actually done on UEFA's direct order.

The "team bonding" bit was to do with ALL squad players being involved, not just the 18 in the match-day squad plus the three suspended players

OK Bob, understood.
(Note: it was 4 suspended players rather than 3 -- Terry, Ivanovich, Ramires, Meireles).

Indeed it was... completely forgot about Meireles. Like Torres, I still consider him a dipper rather than a Chelsea player
