Oh it looks fucking spot on. Where as the last one was dark victory and long halloween this one looks to be inspired by the Knightfall saga and dark knight returns

Bukkake shots where you are with a few other guys...is fucking gay.

In fact, about pulling trains with a woman...you wanna have sex with other guys and mix your sperm with theirs...you're just using a woman as a conduit.

People are really divided on this film. I've seen some real shitstorms around the net about it.

I thought it looked great but got lost on the way to a conclusion, but it also seemed to have been cut down from a much longer film.

Given that it's Scott I'll check out the director's cut when it hits DVD and hope it makes more sense.

I enjoyed it.

Yes I'm sure there'll be a longer Director's Cut. Scott himself has said that it's set in the same "universe" as the "Alien" movies and I think the idea was partly to tie in the film (loosely) with "Alien" and answer a few questions raised in that one, but also to raise some new questions that are to be left open for a possible sequel.

Possible continuity error vis a vis "Alien" though regarding the location of the "space jockey" at the end? Although something so fundamental couldn't posssibly be an error could it? But it did seem a bit odd (if you've seen it you'll know what I mean).

Ah well, maybe they'll address it in the next one.

To my understanding...

Prometheus was set on LV 423 but if the planet ALIENS was set on was the same planet as the first film then that was LV 426

It was mentioned in the film that those same ships were all over the planet and had conical looking flasks seeping liquid where as the "space jockey" ship in the first one had eggs

The filmmakers have said they think there's two or three films between this one and 'Alien'.

I'm hoping a director's cut will fill in some blanks, but the the rest will have o wait for more sequels/prequels.

Assuming Ridley Scott sticks around to make, or at least supervise, them.
