Ukraine v Saudi Arabia...

Post by max_tranmere »

It's interesting how our ministers will be boycotting the England match in Ukraine this Sunday because of some questionable policies the government there has, yet we are pals with Saudi Arabia when you look at their awful human rights record and incredibly sexist policies towards women. Strange isn't it. Oil talks I guess.

It does. It runs our transport system, factories, hospitals and homes.

We could learn to depend on it less, which means we wouldn't need to suck up to the Saudis and their ilk as mush as we do, but it's too much of an inconvenience to most of us. Oil is the heroin and the western nations are the junkies.

No ministers should be allowed to go anyway. Let proper football supporters go.

It's not a case of either/or. The proper supporters wouldn't be sitting where the politicos would anyway.
