Not holding my breath...

Post by andy at handiwork »

...waiting for the Mail or Express to praise without caveat, the brave Bulgarian young man who died rescuing the child from the sea the other day. You know, something along the lines of 'Hero Immigrant Rescue Death', followed by 'We apologise if we have previously given our readers the impression that all immigrants are criminals, benefit scroungers or here illegally'.

You are implying that the other newspapers like The Times or The Guardian are non partisan and balanced. They all have their corrupt little agendas and none should be trusted!

By the way, the BBC reports haven't mentioned the mans nationality either for that matter.

But you know perfectly well Jim that the Times and Guardian, and the BBC come to that, do not have at least a headline a week blaming every woe on immigrants, whereas the Mail and Express generally do. And that was clearly the point I was making. I like to think of it as a bit of irony.

Mail your favourite newspaper?

Post by David Johnson »

I notice you mention the Express, not the Daily Mail, your favourite newspaper, Jimbo.

Apparently you like the Daily Mail because it is so even-handed e.g. a Slip quote

"It was at this point that I started to notice that the only paper that ACTUALLY bad mouthed ALL authority, was the Daily Mail. They rubbish everyone, The Tories, New Labour, the Yanks, Israel, Brussels, the French, bankers, MP's and the Scots! "

And if I understand properly, Andy's point is clearly that the Mail is in no way even-handed.

Your arsenal of weapons with which you attack me is truly pathetic Commissar Johnson. Let's take stock, this is your main weapon of abuse:

A person disagrees with your New Labour drivel= He must be a Daily Mail reader!

That's it, your answer to everything. Like the thugs in Stalin's Soviet Union, you too MUST LABEL anyone that disagrees with you. You stalk the corridors of the BGAFD like some extra playing a guard in the Green Mile, itching for the day, you are given the power to eliminate those that resist you! No thread is safe from you finger wagging, scolding and insults!

Everyone dreads the terror of David Johnson's final retribution, the dire threat of being called..........A DAILY MAIL READER!

Move on Citizen Smith, we're in the 21st century now, even New Labour have passed you by, get with the programme!

Ditch the Afghan coat Comrade!

Jim Slip, wrong yet again.

"Everyone dreads the terror of David Johnson's final retribution, the dire threat of being called..........A DAILY MAIL READER!"

Sorry, Jim, it mustn't have been you that said this to explain why you so rated the Mail.

""It was at this point that I started to notice that the only paper that ACTUALLY bad mouthed ALL authority, was the Daily Mail. They rubbish everyone, The Tories, New Labour, the Yanks, Israel, Brussels, the French, bankers, MP's and the Scots! "

and that the Daily Mail is "the only radical" newspaper.

To clarify, did you or did you not state the above on this forum?

Have you or have you not provided links to many, many, many, many Daily Mail stories over the years in defence of your arguments?

Was it or was it not you that provided a link to a Daily Mail smear story on Bono a couple of weeks ago?

A simple YES or NO will suffice. That's if you have the guts to answer.

Oh and by the way, it's not Socialist Worker that is my favourite newspaper. Wait for it, it's the Guardian. Fancy that. Who would have guessed? But hey, unlike you, I am not ashamed about what I read.

Not very radical of you, David.

My paper of choice is the 'Juventud Rebelde' !thumbsup!
