IMF Gordon Brown "Nighmare"

Post by jimslip »

At the risk of goading the "Tasmanian Devil" of BGAFD, I couldn't resist smiling at Christine Legarde of the IMF' s pronouncement:

Christine Lagarde, the IMF Managing Director, has pronounced on the Government's economic strategy:

?The gain that resulted from the fiscal consolidation that was decided over two years ago has been that result ? the credibility of the UK Government and its ability to borrow at extremely favourable rates. Sometimes you feel like you could look back and wonder ?what if?. And when I think back myself of May 2010 when the UK deficit was at 11%, and I try to imagine what the situation would be like today if no such fiscal consolidation programme had been decided. I shiver."

Take coverrrrrr, here he comes!!!!

I would imagine Christine Lagarde finds it extremely difficult to suppress a snigger if she has ever actually had to endure listening to Ed Balls!

Well thank you, Jim for that vibrant, detailed analysis. An appearance on Newsnight can't be far away.

The only thing you appear to know about economics is trying to work out which of the civil liberties' restrictions you can make money out of?

But I could be wrong....after all you were completely correct about the ONE organisation, weren't you, dear?

!wink!

Cue a nervous breakdown several pager!

"I would imagine Christine Lagarde finds it extremely difficult to suppress a snigger if she has ever actually had to endure listening to Ed Balls!"

Not sure about that. Don't know how much you know about Lagarde or if you read any of her speech?

1. She supported Ed Balls i.e in summary her analysis was "lovely, economic policies, but the Uk economy has been fucked in the process. So she took the Plan B ideas of supporting youths back into work, cutting VAT etc which were all ideas that had been put out by Labour, in particular, for the last year or two.

2. Should anyone take Lagarde seriously whether she supports the coalition, Labour or whoever? She was the French Minister for Industry, Economic Affairs and Employment for the 4 years from the middle of 2007-11. The result France had 0% growth first quarter of 2012. Given she was responsible for this stellar performance being in charge of the economy, why should anybody listen to her, other than she holds some pursestrings.

3. It is also worth pointing out that Lagarde as well as the other Euro economic and Finance ministers have developed the "austerity" policy for Greece which has managed to knock 20% of the Greece economy in 4 years and reduced a number of the Greek population to spending their evenings raking around in dustbins looking for food to eat.

Not a stunning CV, really? I am surprised she doesn't turn up with a black and white striped outfit with "Banks rule ok?" on the front.

If only Gordon Brown had got his dream job as Head of the IMF, everything would be grandy and dandy, he'd no doubt have saved the world by now, at the cost of only a few hundred smashed Nokias.

Maybe she was grateful for Osborne's ?10 billion in loans to help shore up struggling European economies???!deadhorse!

Osbourne said the contribution was possible because of his government's "tough action" to help the British economy which means the UK "can be one of the countries that can support the IMF". !idontbelieveit! Thanks Osbourne you useless prick! Thanks for wasting even more of our money.

Some of the striplings of BGAFD have been asking, "Jim, what is a Tasmanian Devil?" Well you young wippersnappers, a Tasmanian Devil was a cartoon character that people of my generation used to find hilarious in the old days. There was nothing I liked better than to come inside after playing with my hoop and stick, crank up the "Televisor" as it was called then and watch the Tasmanian Devil wreaking havoc wherever he went! For some reason he reminds of someone on here anytime you dare suggest that maybe, "New Labour.....fucked things up ,errm, a bit?",you get the same effect. See for yourselves!!wink!

What is a Rambling Syd Rumbold?

Post by David Johnson »

I have been asked by many on the forum what is a Rambling Syd Rumbold?

A Rambling Syd Rumbold lives in the same part of the world as the Tasmanian Devil and has the following characteristics:

1. Rambles on and on incoherently saying the same thing over and over.
2. Doesn't give the impression that they have a clue what they are talking about.
3. Can only communicate in terms of juvenile, hopelessly inaccurate generalisations, never detail.
4. Thinks debate is something you have when you go fishing.

To get a look at a Rambling Syd Rumbold in full flow, here you go.
