I don't know David, I've never met him, so it's impossible for me to pass judgement on him one way or the other as a person.

It's certainly true that the "forum entity" that is David Johnson (while clearly intelligent, articulate and occasionally funny) often comes across as a smug, pompous know-all and sometimes talks a load of bollocks - but then again so does one of my oldest and dearest friends when he gets on his soap-box down the pub.

I can only judge the forum entity, not the man. If I met him in the flesh he might in fact turn out to be as sound as a pound. Or a total cunt. Or anywhere in between. And he could say the same about me.
