Why is Ken hated so much?

I've never understood the vitriolic hatred that is plied on poor old "Red Ken" Livingstone. That arch traitor Thatcher hated him so much that she abolished the GLC to get rid of him. Ken Livingstone, hated by a woman who sold the whole country to foreign banks, what a cheek!

What is this man's great crime? He made policies that affected the lives of many Londoners in a positive way. Any politician that is is villified by the Tory tabloids in this way MUST be doing something good for the masses otherwise they wouldn't bother. The fact that multi-billionaire sheister Alan Sugar is not supporting Ken is surely a major reason that those who are NOT very rich should support him!

Alan Sugar a man who encourages those who wish to scrape a living in his poxy business empire, to stab each other, swindle and cheat to win his favours, telling us not to vote for Ken Livingstone and presumably vote for that incompetent buffoon Boris Johnson!!laugh!

I have now battened down the hatches and I await with trepidation the inevitable !shitstorm!, but when you think about it, is there really any reason to hate our Ken with such fervour?

Well, Jim, I think you raise an interesting point. Clearly, Davey, and many
others hate the guy, and I am aware of his way of rubbing up his own
party and even suggesting during the IRA troubles that we have a dialogue
with them (which is exactly what the Govt was doing in secret and finally
had to do anyway in public).......But I have always liked his cheeky sense
of humour, on comedy satire shows he proved witty and willing to have a
laugh at himself, which is more than most politicians do, and as for his
"nasal" voice, it is nothing compared to that awful toff voice of Boris
Johnson.

I'm afraid I agree with Frank, our Ken was chatting to the IRA openly, whilst the government was doing it in secret. In the end as I recall the government released a load of IRA terrorists to walk the streets.......not Ken.

So I still can't understand why he is so hated, I'm afraid setting up a Ltd company to avoid paying a bit of tax doesn't really justify virulent hatred and neither does having created a number of "Bangladeshi Lesbian Hopscotch Collectives!"
