The British counterattack at Arras, which mauled Rommel's 7th Pz Div, made Hitler very wary of trying to destroy us. Add to that incredibly brave British resistance at Calais and Boulogne.

I am probably wrong, but you almost make it sound like a wish-list. Be in no doubt, a German victory would have very quickly resulted in extremely harsh measures against the civilian population of the British Isles, as is laid down in paragraph 5 of the Commander-in-chief's 'Directive for Military Government in England', (thankfully never to happen): 'The able-bodied male population between the ages of 17 and 45 will, unless the local situation calls for an exceptional ruling, be interned and dispatched to the Continent with the minimum of delay'. That would have accounted for most on your list and a lot of others too.

And there was me giving you the benefit of the doubt. So the utter impoverishment of the country, the murder of all Jews in the UK, the mass deportation of all able-bodied males to Germany, the stripping out of our industry and the imposition of a nazi dictatorship and all that would have entailed would have been a price worth paying to stop Commonwealth immigration, 'the knife crime' and the other things in your 'if only' list? As for Trident, I'm sure Hitler would not have been slow in trying to get his own nuclear weapons.

I dont need to wake up. I am merely suggesting that you would appear to feel a German victory in WW2 would have been a small price to pay for the fulfilment of a questionable, to me, wish list.

With regards to your olympics scenario, I couldn't care less about it. Then I lost track of your ramble.
