Has anyone else noticed these cropping up in petrol stations and supermarkets? Surely the ultimate "Tory cut?" Could we see future riots being controlled by a thousand of these propped up in strategic places?

Could we perhaps see the forming of a cardboard regiment in the army at some time soon. You could leave them in Afghanistan to keep the Taliban at bay!

Re: Cardboard policemen.
I travelled across Russia and Ukraine about ten years ago and saw many carboard police cars at the side of the road. Used to slow down traffic.

Re: Cardboard policemen.
Cardboard policemen have proved extremely effective in America at stopping crime at gas stations, why not bring it here and give it a go. At worst it will do nothing and the petrol station owners will be no better off, and maybe in some cases it will work.
