I qualified all that I said by saying that it was my opinion...Of course I can't prove it!

Re: Aliens on Earth
"By ESO's estimate, there could be around 100 "super-Earths" in stars less than 30 light years from Earth. In cosmic terms, such distances are just a flea jump, but they are an impossible gap for Man to bridge with current space technology."
But perhaps not so impossible for a more advanced race of beings?
Makesya wonder anyway!

Re: Aliens on Earth
I tend to go along with the notion that a law of physics such as the impossibility of travelling faster than the speed of light, in operation at this side of the galaxy will be the same at the other, and beyond.
Re: Aliens on Earth
Well at CERN (with the large hadron collider) they are now finding out that faster-than-light travel may be possible after all.
It's arrogant to think that we know all there is to know about "the laws of physics". Much remains to be discovered.

Re: Aliens on Earth
I keep open mind about most things. If there are any aliens o Earth? they there race would have atleast millions of years old. There's many problems with our current theory of light speed space travel. Here's award wining Amercian TV show on the subject.

Well whaddaya know !laugh!
However, we still don't know all there is to know about physics (or anything for that matter) and it's right to keep an open mind.

The ICARUS (Imaging Cosmic And Rare Underground Signals) project is a physics experiment aimed at studying neutrinos. ICARUS announced on 15 March 2012 that they have refuted the 'faster than light' OPERA results from last year by staging their own study and measuring neutrino velocity to be the same as that of light.
