A Labour run local authority has been accused of betraying its principles after selling a long established arts centre to private developers.

During 2010 Lambeth council officials agreed to grant some artists a formal five year lease if they rewired and fireproofed the centre. It was after this work was complete that the council announced it would instead sell the site to a developer, Henley Homes.

If that were true, you would see no difference between Thatcher, Blair and Cameron governments in terms of what their policies are and what gets implemented.

In effect THERE IS no difference for most of us, regardless of whose in power. You will argue life was nigh on perfect under New Labour, you will cite the NHS, however how quickly we forget the waiting lists, the filthy wards, the MRSA, the old folk abused...........hang on, don't tell me it was all the fault of the Tories, using telepathic powers to fuck things up?

For the average person nothing changes, but I'll tell you one group who has benefitted enormously, yes you guessed it, the very rich and their greatest benefactors in recent times were, yes you guessed it, your New labour who mistakenly thought if you make the rich even richer, they will throw some crumbs down to the rest of us........how wrong and naive they were.

Do you think under your precious New Labour , Frank Goodwin would have lost his Knighthood, of course not, do you think anyone at News International would have been arrested, no of course not. New Labour are the TRUE friends of the rich and powerful. It is they who wrote the fucking contracts that allowed the crooked fuckers who run OUR banks to continue raking in ?millions, it beggars belief!

New Labour are traitors to the working man! 13 years of sodding New labour and the average property is way beyond the means of most young people. A party who invited millions to come in from Europe to drive down our wages? They should rename themselves "New Tories!" You find me an old die hard Labour supporter who idolises this present day party like you do and I'd faint with shock. Most old timers would spit on the lot of them!

I haven't even started on the Tories, but at least they don't pretend to be the friends of the working man! and at least they are lamely chastising the rich for being greedy, something your fucking New Labour NEVER did. I really cannot understand your slavish devotion to these crooks. It must be like being a fan of Michael Jackson or some movie star, you simply cannot see ANYTHING wrong with them, regardless of what they do.

We love in an elected dictatorship.

Whoever we vote for, the tri-partite elected dictatorship, the LibLabCon gets in.

I am afraid Mr No6, if the last government had not allowed Eastern Europeans to flood in and force down wages, we could have seen, by now, low paid workers earning much more than these dirisory sums:

?6.08?-?the main rate for workers aged 21 and over?
?4.98 - the 18-20 rate
?3.68?- the 16-17 rate for workers above school leaving age but under 18
?2.60 - the apprentice rate, for apprentices under 19 or 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship

After 13 years of NL, the above shit figures are what crooked firms can get away with paying people...... New Labour fighting for the workers? BOLLOCKS!!

The fact is that New Labour were hell bent on pleasing big business and the rich. They created a public sector monolith run by self serving, high earning, squandering fat cats. They cared nothing for the "working man". To the slimy Mandellsons and Blairs the "Working man" ie any normal person going out to work and paying tax, was no more than an anachronism to be spied on, controlled and fleeced for every penny that could be squeezed from them. We were no more than cash cows to feed the rich at one end and the lazy at the other end.

To top it all can anyone remember new Labour were also hell bent on creating their surveillance police state? with for example ID cards, who would have been forced on people like ourselves, but I wonder how many of New Labour's interest groups could have opted out of ID cards by citing them as a violation of the Human Rights Act? New Labour were always talking about some ever new technology for spying or watching us, whether it was cameras on wheely bins or more CCTV on roads, all for one aim, to steal your money and give it to their own interest groups and of course monitor you for any dissent.

Kneel down and thank the Lord they didn't get in for another term, because we would have slid into the frame work of a police state, which controlled just US, the cash cows, but excluded the rich and New Labour's interest groups.

In summary I think 13 years of ANY government will end up it being profoundly corrupt. The problem was that New labour were corrupted from the start, they had perverted the principles of Socialism to attempt to befriend the rich.....and The Daily Mail, they sold out and the final perversity is that they waged an illegal war under orders from an American REPUBLICAN Right Wing madman! What hope was there for us from then on?

So in answer to your original question, there is no reason to believe that if any other party had been in power for 13 years, the low paid would be any worse off. After all NL had 13 FUCKING YEARS of boom to sort it out and the low paid have STILL ended up, even lower paid!
