Good news, Goodwin gets his knighthood stripped from him.
Labour should have done this long ago, at the time reckless stupidity resulted in RBS needing a 45 billion bailout.

Re: Sir Fred Goodwin no more
The c**t still gets ?650,000 a year pension, which is outrageous. I also heard that the collapse of RBS was largely brought about by the purchase by RBS of a foreign bank that was failing. RBS bought it, and all its debts. What is interesting is that Alex Salmond, Scotland's First Minister, wrote a letter to (I assume) Fred Goodwin saying he supported the buy-out, so Alex Salmond's fingerprints are all over the RBS collapse.
Re: Sir Fred Goodwin no more
Surely this is a hoax posting??????? A banker actually getting a kick up the butt, it can't be! If we're not careful he might go off and live in Dubai where ALL bankers are welcome............well until they run out of money at which point they are imprisoned if they haven't managed to leg it back to good old Blighty in time!

On the off chance your reading this, Fred, call RBS hotline on 08457 242424 and select option 3 to change your personal details.
We have need of you again, great king.
Re: Sir Fred Goodwin no more
What annoys me is the amount of politicians and senior industrialists etc saying that it was wrong to strip this incompetent bastard of his honour. I feel that the consensus is that a lot of others out there are now fair game to be stripped of their honours due to their incompetence. The fact that he never commited an illegal act means that he should retain his honour.
Sorry, he oversaw a huge amount of incompetence during his tenure at RBS, so, the buck stops at the top and he was responsible. He was happy to take the honour from a useless Labour govt and now it is out in the open what he did I feel he should be banged up as well.

Yes, SIR Jackie Stewart was another one backing up his mate. Another out of touch rich boy.
Now Cameron should take their titles off those jailed peers!

Re: Sir Fred Goodwin no more
the difference is Jackie Stewart earned his fortune thru talent, skill and an intelligent 'reading' of his preferred discipline. And a self made man, to boot.
Fred, in contrast, exercised supremely poor judgement even before his bizarre ABN Amro buyout.
I think Sir Jackie was motivated by a - misguided - loyalty as his former Stewart F1 team was principally sponsored by RBS/Fred.
Leave JYS alone, put Fred in the stocks.

While they're at it what about that lying little toe rag Jeffrey fucking Archer?
He's still got his sir.
He's still got his sir.

It's Lord Archer of Weston-super-Mare, if you don't mind! Nothing so lowly as a Knighthood.
Sadly, to remove him and any other prison served "Lord" would require a change of law.
Since this is of course what they supposedly do on a day to day business, you would think it might just be possible to do that!
No chance, far better to throw in the odd "Sir Fred" to try and keep people off the scent!

Fair point! Actually on reflection he seems like a loyal friend.
