'"Birdsong" an outrage to all decent folk!

Post by jimslip »

"Birdsong" tonight on BBC1 is DISGUSTING! The rampant images of passion coupled with downright acts of fellatio, bare breasts and general views of hot groping sex action, had me reaching for my smelling salts! The director should be soundly birched! Apart from these acts of salacious filth, it's rather good!

Watch this MUCK at your peril!!grin!

I have to agree Jim.

We don't want the BBC corrupting the British public do we. lol

But I expect your post could well get readers using the Iplayer.
Anyway she looked to be a very attractive girl just right for the bodice ripping scenes.

Seriously, it was a good new series and was well filmed with some excellent soft focus shots.
Once again the BBC at it's best.

I have not read the book so don't know how the story compares to the original.
Maybe some other readers could tell us.

I actually watched it as I am at home recovering from multiple fractures, acute gout, pneumonia, herpes, sickle cell anemia, and cancer of everything. it was great, took my mind of worrying about a boil on me arse.

I have already written to "Points of view" asking, "Why, oh why, oh why, do we have to have firm, ripe breasts thrust in our faces just after having attended, Evensong? Must we sit there and watch the spectacle of 2 young people tearing each others clothes off and having, sweaty, rampant sex? Before this scene I was having a perfectly nice time watching scenes of young men being blown to pieces during the Great War and then you spoilt it with scenes of sex!"

Yes, on a serious note its brilliant!

Disgusting, I didn't see it myself, but intend to complain anyway.

Could you send me clips off all the scenes, so I can see what i'm complaining about? Cut out the boring bits, i'm only interested in researching the naughty parts.

We have need of you again, great king.

"Disgusting, I didn't see it myself, but intend to complain anyway."

That's the non gender specific, modern man with a hand bag attitude, I like it, be sure to tell them you haven't watched it, but if you had you had you would wish to complain on the grounds of an affront to decency, make sure you don't mention heaving breasts and lady's front gardens, and ask for compensation, tell them your a quaker, that'll lorn 'em.

Mary Whitehouse used to do this all the time! The BBC used to quake in their boots when ever she called!

Here at Johnson Towers, we were spluttering into our early evening cafe au lait et pain du chocolat.

I had to move smartly to cover the maidservant's eyes when they touched ankles in the punt. From then on in, sacre bleu! And on a Sunday too.

On a serious note, I thought this was top. Drama on the Beeb is on a roll.
