USB Stick on Ipad
Re: USB Stick on Ipad
I'm afraid the camera connector kit is just that, its not an add-on usb port. Although some devices can be connected using it that way, it sounds like your usb stick is trying to draw more power from the device than it'll allow.
Perhaps the only way is to load stuff the conventional way.

How do you transfer items from my computer hard drive to ipad,I have tryed connecting ipad to computer and it goes straight to itunes and starts transfering my gf's Wham music{which obviously I don't want}?
Re: USB Stick on Ipad
Try iTunes Preferences: go to Devices and enable ?Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically?.

You may want to also browse the iPad section of the Apple Support Communities:

Depends what you're trying to transfer, if it's music, movies or photo's, make sure they're in the correct format, load them into iTunes, and sync that way. There are options in iTunes to sync everything, or sync only specific items.

I use the kit u need a 1 or 2 gig usb stick, low power, I have an 8 gig and won't work as it requires too much power. Also you need place the files within a folder named DCIM, you can transfer most of what you need from itunes.
What is it you want to do?

Sell it and get an Asus Transformer.
