Bin Laden: Shoot to kill...

Post by max_tranmere »

Very interesting documentary on More4 last night. About how American special forces entered the compound and killed the world's most wanted man.

The most interesting bit was about the planning for the op in Washington. The thing was so secret that when the senior staff in the White House ordered some take-away pizza's for the planning meeting (I was surprised they call out for pizza at the White House, but they do) they ordered them from several differnt pizza places at once so no one would catch on that a large meeting was happening. They were even afraid to let a pizza parlour in downtown Washington know that a large group of senior Government staff would be having a meeting in the White House.

The mission went off sucessfully as we know, and Bin Lden was killed. Good riddance. Did anyone else watch this programme? I found it very interesting.

All a bit anti clicatic really dont you think?

Geezer orchestrates an epic act of terrorism goes out in a hal of bullets from the US military and buried at sea after spending the best part of 10 years avoiding the man hunt

If he parked on a double yellow line in Westminster theyd be all over him like chlamydia

Sounds like a repeat of something that was originally on the Discovery Channel.

It was a quite interesting programme. Slotting him was the only option they could take, taking him alive was just not possible.

We have need of you again, great king.

I believed it all, who would have though Elvis was the lead Seal, and Stevie Wonder was flying the chopper. V.interesting.

The death from kidney problems was widely circulated....now the fact that Kim Jong Il snuffed it on the same day that America withdrew after stabilising Iraq (I jest...) the yanks now have the opportunity to go for Iran....then Pakistan, then Western Samoa, then Doncaster......

I heard the CIA made an arrangement with the British Government to resettle Osama in a convenience store in Peckham

But I could be wrong
