This year you can look forward to, "The Towering Inferno" and "The Gorgon", which was daft even in 1967. Unfortunately, they are not showing, "The Swarm" which should be aired by law, every Xmas holiday, ideally at 2.00pm on Xmas Day!
I was at the press preview of The Swarm in 1977, I think it was and can still remember all the journalists falling about laughing!!laugh!

People actually watch TV at Christmas still???
Shouldnt people be getting wasted, laid, time with family or friends? Sheesh, no wonder people hate Christmas.
The only reason I like Christmas s much is that it gives me time to catch up with friends and family and eat and drink and socialise
I dont even give a hoot about presents. Get me some booze and I'm a cheap date. The TV is just for background ambience and occasional distraction

Never saw the film but listened to the score by Jerry Goldsmith which I think is brilliant. The music tells a better story than the film. Mind you the composer, famed for Rambo, Star Trek TMP, The Omen and a zillion other scores is known for doing his best scores to films less worthy of his efforts
Did this post just go whoosh over everybodies heads??? Ok I'll slip quietly out the side exit
