The Extradition Act 2003

Post by jimslip »

If anyone is interested in supporting those that are trying to repeal or at least change Tony Blair's, or should I say, George Dubya's "Extradition Act 2003" which allows the Yanks to come and get you and take you back to the US of A, for some "justice" Yank style, but naturally, we can't do the same to them!

Or to give it it's full title, Tony Blair's Extradition Act of 2003 which Cameron and the Cleggster undertook to change whilst in opposition but have in fact done bugger all in their 18 months in power to amend this heinous bit of legislation.

Cheers

Yes, you are absolutely correct, the present bunch of wankers have done nothing and all the more reason to actually support Liberty and their efforts to keep the issue alive.

Jim, is it just coincidence that you are taking this cause up at the same time as I understand the Daily Mail are doing the same thing?

"Just asking - not trying to go DJ on your ass"

Is this English? Or is this gangsta speak?

Steady on old bean. Here in Johnson Towers we were spluttering into our cappucinos and choking on our Harrods chocolates.

Champagne socialists? I just love 'em don't you?

These are the chocs that will be winging their way to Slip Mansions in the next week or so, provided he behaves himself.

It is most certainly English (although I presume your question is rhetorical). And it may well be "gangsta (sic) speak" too, although I have no particular expertise in the latter. I was just searching for a few words which kept things vague, avoided offence to either party and which kept me reasonably clear from any long-running feud. It seems I have failed.

No strange as it may seem, I thought it up all by myself without any help from the Daily Mail, Jeremy Clarkson, The Daily Telegraph and so on. I thought it up because it is a just cause to support, is that so strange?

What is depressing is how party politics gets in the way of even basic human rights, if a Tory Government had introduced this appalling Act, the "Usual Suspects" on here would be like rabid dogs, foaming at the mouth with indignation and outrage at the injustice of it all.

Because it was Tony Blair and New Labour's law, it is totally ignored or simply brushed aside as irrelevant. It demonstrates the brutal, dictatorial underbelly, ever lurking under the cosy and cuddly exterior of New Labour!
