Whilst I am in television mode, the brilliant Danish series on BBC4 earlier this year called the Killing has a new series on the same channel starting on November 19th, I think.
Note for the many BGAFD fashionista, Detective Lund is going to be wearing a very groovy, maroon woollen hand-knitted jumper.
Eat your hear out John Galliano.
Cheers

Great stuff.
Great stuff.

I prefer Spiral, the French cop series. If it's to be believed, French policing hasn't changed much since the days of The Sweeney.

Never seen series one but series 2 looks great after first 2 episodes and Lund has a certain moody sexiness about her....

Agreed. I love the non-stop bad weather. It's an important character in the series and seems to add to the doom-laden, dour feel.
As to Lund, yeah she's a great, totally focused, couldnt give a fuck about anything else, crimebreaker.
Roll on the next two hours. Apparently this series is 10 hours long compared to the epic original series which was 20 hours. I only got into the first series when it was about Episode 14. So one week I ended up watching the first 10 hours worth. Great!!!!
Cheers

Am borrowing series one off a colleague so that should account for most of Christmas and Boxing Day when the tv is aimed at Val Doonican fans!!

You'll see some similar themes like cutting between a murder investigation and political infighting, but by New Year, you'll probably be wandering round practising your Danish and looking for a cut price Faroe Isles hand knitted sweater in the New Year sales.
