Or perhaps Sam Slater was just responding in jest, to hold up a satirical mirror to the initial snobbery.

Re: Haha/ David Cameron star of Poundland!

David Johnson would have enjoyed this, last year I took a photo of David Camerons autobiography sitting in heaps on the shelves in Poundland, with a star underneath saying, "Bargain ONLY ?1.00!"

I'll try to get it off my old phone and post it. Lol

It was a gentle ribbing in return for your haughtiness, Smith. No cruel intent!

I'd have thought the smiley and use of the word 'loser/s' four times in one sentence would have been enough to show I wasn't being too serious.

Sorry!

Save yourself a pretty penny but i do wonder where all this under cutting the opposition will end

Lower wages no doubt

or maybe we're there already

Discount chains like Auldi and Cost co might be easier on the hip pocket initially but eventually you will pay for those savings when theirs less paid out in wages henceforth less in tax.

Not necessarily, uk retailers are noted Worldwide for their greed. In the US they work on much lower margins because of aggressive competition. Over here it's all very cozy and that is why we are ripped off for everything. Lidl, Aldi and Poundland do a little to fuck up the cartel operated by the big boys, so all the more reason to support them.
