And how have you decided the married Mr Fox is gay? He went on business trips with another bloke? That will be half the male population then...

There may be a perfectly simple explanation as to why Fox took this guy everywhere with him, like he was some kind of comfort blanket, but if there was no financial benefit to all this unofficial schmoozing, spending all that time in the office and in meetings and being taken all over the world, the natural suspicion is that they were fucking.

If Werrity had been a woman it would have.

Doesn't matter if they are/were, but you can't have a married high profile cabinet minister with a secret lover

Fox didn't need any financial reward from the relationship, nor is it inconceivable that two men can spend as much time together as these two and not have a sexual relationship. What he got, which was much more important to him than mere monery or sex, was the advancement of his shadowy neo-com agenda involving some very unsavoury American lobbyists and other right-wingers both in the US and here.

Agreed. Fox setup Atlantic Bridge, a neocon lobbying group, masquerading as a charity, which joined republican groups in the States to lobby against Obama's healthcare plans whilst slagging off the UK's "socialist healthcare system, the NHS". This charity had a board of advisers such as Michael Gove and Chris Grayling.

When Atlantic Bridge was rumbled by the Charity Commission, that had to be closed down sharpish and his mate Werrity was out of a job. Fox then went to elicit funds from the same donors who had supported Atlantic Bridge in order to fund Werrity's first class travel around the world and hotel expenses. In the case of at least one donor, Fox obtained this money by promising, falsely as it happens, it would be spent on research.

Fox blocked civil servants attending key meetings alongside Werrity, failed to tell his permanent secretary that he had drummed up the funds to bankroll his mate and ignored private office requests for him to distance himself from Werrity.

He clearly only resigned last week when it became clear that the report on his activities would mean that he inevitably would have got the push.

And then to top it all, he stands up in the House of Commons today and attacks the press for their vindictiveness.

Has this man absolutely no sense of shame?

Cheers

Thanks. Disgusting arsehole. I didn't know that about the NHS. We need some politicians with integrity who put the problems of the country first. But nothing changes they just screw us all. What an absolute dearth of good quality intelligent politicians we have at this time. And they haven't even got the brains to cover their filthy Fox tracks. Depressed!!glum!
