Bert Jansch RIP

Sad news that folk guitarist, Bert Jansch has died from cancer aged 67.
He was a leading light in the group, Pentangle that had reformed recently as well as a solo performer.

Had the pleasure of seeing him play many a year ago and was knocked out by his guitar playing. Neil Young who knows a thing or two about guitar put his technique on a par with Jimi Hendrix.

He always came across as a quiet, self effacing guy who never received the widespread recognition that his talent deserved.

A great guitarist all the same.

Amazing Guitarist, such a sad loss to the music industry. He was definitely on a par with Hendrix. He had been doing some recent collaborations with Johnny Marr which were fantastic. R.I.P. Bert.
