I think not. David might like this one, even though on a right of centre blog:
It might appear to be the reason Coulson got the job.
Talc?

Alex
I am surprised that you are indulging in such tittle tattle.
Here in Johnson Mansions I often while away an evening with a packet of hobnobs, washed down with a bottle or two of Bollinger whilst my arm is wrapped round a ?350/hr escort.
Since Blackpool were relegated, I have few pleasures in life. So nothing wrong with that.
As for the ludicrous smear about talcum powder/cocaine, if you look at the picture in the article below you will see the obvious explanation.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... rview.html
In the picture, George looks a little damp and shiny. That's because he has just had a shower, I suspect, and like all modern men has moisturised. Natalie has obviously reminded him to put talc between his toes to prevent any nasty infections. George has clearly done that on the table top which explains the white lines of talcum powder.
And as for the Coulson smear based on the NOTW story being quite favourable to Osborne. Wasn't the NOTW always on the side of politicians in the sex/drugs/politicians sagas? I am sure that there is no truth in the argument that the NOTW were giving a prospective cabinet minister an easy ride as part of hedging their bets. After all at the same time they were giving William Hague a pittance of ?200,000 a year to write a scinitillatingly brilliant column in the NOTW once a week.
Anyway, George himself, stated that Natalie Rowe's remarks were defamatory back in 2005? Well actually, Alex the reason why George didn't follow it up with a writ is because George is a very likeable chap and just like Dave with Andy Coulson, wanted to give Natalie a second chance.
Anyway since the hussy has repeated the defamatory remarks again this week, I am sure that a writ will be issued in the next day or two.
Eh?
Cheers

I don't know why, but I just look at that picture of George and find myself asking the question, should we give some credence to Ms Rowe?
Who knows, maybe there is a link between George's alleged penchant for the white powder and his apparent loss of focus, leading to the situation which you describe here:
Choppy waters indeed!

Re: Alex
Well, I am obviously biased but I have no problem whatsoever believing Ms. Rowe.
The prediliction for wealthy kids to enjoy a bit of rough accompanied by nose powder is a reoccuring theme, I think.
As for the current loss of focus, I suspect that is more down to Osborne being a knobhead rather than him having too much of the class A's.
Cheers
