You are welcome to your opinion, though I note you give absolutely no reason for why you feel I am missing the point.
As you posted earlier, you don't see it as a problem. I disagree.
It's been this woman's home for 25 years. No doubt she has many friends in the area. I would be surprised if she hasn't taken steps over the years to make it feel like her own, home environment. I don't see why she should be put under pressure to move from that home.

WHY?
Re: Pornoshop
Who wouldn`t want to movie out of a nice council house they`ve lived in for 25 years into a shithole owned by some scumbag who doesn`t maintain the property and where you have no rights or recourse
Bukkake shots where you are with a few other guys...is fucking gay.
In fact, about pulling trains with a woman...you wanna have sex with other guys and mix your sperm with theirs...you're just using a woman as a conduit.

Mr Chapel
Yep Toryboy has spotted this one coming up which is why there are plans to put all new council tenancies on a fixed, short term basis to make it easier to help them along the road into private tenancy.

Re: WHY?
As a social landlord employee I can give both sides to the argument....firstly social or council houses were in theory built for low earners, elderly and the workshy. They are not in theory for those earning a decent wage. However as they average mortgage deposit is now in the region of ?25k we have a lot of inbetweener tenants who want to move out but can't afford to as McBroon fucked the mortgage market along with his gung ho lefty banker friends..hello Fred btw. Your friends local authority cannot ask her to move if she is up to date with her rent and not running a brothel, dealing drugs or allowing HER home to be used for criminal purposes. She can politely decline.
Re: WHY?
Im in the social housing biz as well but in the scum based quarter where i see on a day to day basis that the only people who will now ever get council housing are the dreggs of society that frankly deserve (on the whole) a cardboard box.
The days of housing for those working in low paying jobs have long gone and now only those with speical needs will get housing.
As for this situation which appears to have little concrete details to it (if more could be supplied you may get a proper answer) i cant see a problem in that someone who can afford thge private sector going into it as currenly there are those in well paying jobs still in subsidessed housing.
Total agreement about they will then get ripped off by private sector landlords.

Re: WHY?
On a different note, housing and the prices of it is one of the biggest scams in existence today.
I thought Davids post was informative because I didnt know that and it makes perfect sense too.

"In general, nowadays, the commonly held media view is that chavs live in council houses i.e. they are only there for the really desperate in society"
Contrast this with social housing in France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany which isn't stigmatised. Ask yourselves why it's stigmatised in the UK.

I don't think Brown insisted on banks lending money for house purchases to people who could not afford to repay the money nor do I recall him insisting that people should buy houses they could not afford.
There was a house price bubble, just as there was in the 80's under Thatcher. These house price bubbles are more about greed and stupidity on the part of lenders and borrowers.
If you don't believe me look at the table in this link which breaks the last 50 years down into 10 year chunks.
http://www.lovemoney.com/news/property- ... use-prices
The Halifax believes that the average house price rise in the last 50 years was 273% when you strip out the Retail Price INdex. Between 1979 and 1989, when Thatcher was in charge there was a house price rise of 61%. Between 1999 and 2009 it was 62%.
"along with his gung ho lefty banker friends..hello Fred btw"
This is an interesting take on history. It was mainly the fault of left wing bankers. Any proof to back this up?
