After all the bollocks talked before the last election about dealing with merchant banker scum and city fat cats, naturally absolutely bugger all has happened. These people are leeches on society as far as I am concerned. They speculate and bet on peoples livelihoods and jobs, they produce absolutely nothing and contribute nothing to society as a whole.
A simple solution to solve the problem of these bastards (Unfortunately you can't shoot them) is to introduce a windfall tax of 95%, 40% goes into the treasury coffers and the rest goes into community programmes for the poor.
Any of them that threaten to leave the country, boot them out. Lets' see how long they last in Dubai without endless supplies of coke and booze, they'd be back here in no time.
Sorry about my rant, but NOTHING and NOONE ever does anything about these cunts.
Rant over!
The disgusting greed of City scum!

Re: The disgusting greed of City scum!
Because they are part of the old boy network of bankers, politicians and other ex public school boys who are bred to treat the working man as a way to get rich. And I'm a lifelong righ winger who is finally losing my faith!
Re: The disgusting greed of City scum!
Surely just a few scaffolds set up outside Goldman Sachs wouldn't be too much to ask, would it? It would set such a good example to the rioters and looters and offer such good entertainment for the rest of us. Possibly even a new reality TV series, called, "Hang 'Em High", where once the banker is noosed, the baying audience screams out "Higher! higher!" or "Lower! Lower!" until the contestant has guessed the exact measurement of noose that has been secretly marked on the rope. Even the hangman could be dressed in a gold lame suit like the dude below?

On the subject of taxing the well-off you will not be encouraged by the followng snippet.
"Chancellor George Osborne has asked the Inland Revenue to check whether the 50p top rate of income tax is actually making money for the government. Some economists have claimed that tax avoidance and evasion mean the rate is raising less income than expected. Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Osborne hinted that the 50p rate remained under review. He added: "There's not much point in having taxes that are very economically inefficient."
So there you have it. If you tax the rich, they go abroad or use increasingly complex tax avoidance/evasion techniques so you don't get any money, says impotent Boy George. And it makes us dreadfully uncompetitive of course!

All governments as long as I can remember have pandered to these scumbags. The theory is that if you make the rich richer somehow they'll pass a few crumbs down to the rest of us. I would have hoped New Labour would have the bottle to actually dare to take on the City, in their next election manifesto, but alas I don't think they will, they are so scared of being labelled, "Left Wing."
The present bunch of tossers are worse, because they promised they would do something about it and we are still waiting.

Re: Jimslip
I see Nat Rothschild, merchant banker son of Lord Rothschild, celebrated
his 40th birthday couple of weeks back with a ?2 million (yes, thats
right) ?2 milliion birthday party !! Nat flew lots of his rich cat friends
to the yacht resort-casino complex he is sponsoring in Montenegro,
destined to be the new "in" place for the super-rich. Nat, with his
family`s sharp eye for a good deal, is steadily cornering the world
market in uranium.....I mention all this - not that I am the least bit
jealous - but in case any of my fat cat porno producer colleagues want
to jump in on uranium stocks while the boom lasts !!! (OK, I confess,
I am a teeny bit jealous, ?2 million is more than I will earn in my lifetime).

Yes, the looter steals illegally for pennies and the City Scum steal legally for ?millions. Add to this MP's fiddling expenses, bent coppers, fat cat utility executives who get sacked for incompetence and walk away with ?millions, that cow Sharon Shoesmith in the "baby P" case, looking forward to ?Millions in compo, footballers raking in ?millions for kicking a ball around..............any wonder there is the festering stench of lawlessness and anarchy on the streets?
I'm not saying it's right to kick in a shop window, just saying some examples need to be made of people at the top!
