another silly idea...

Post by Phil Phee »

But would there be any value in hosting a BGAFD party in London? Ladies and studs could tout for work with - present - prodcers, fans could meet starlets and harvest autographs etc.

Waddya fink?

There were regular BGAFD parties until not that many years ago. Most girls stopped going because some of the "fans" couldn't keep their hands to themselves.

Yeah, the parties still happen, and loads of girls turn u to get shit-faced and get their tits out same as before, it's just that us mugs who are expected to shell out on the paysites or crappy adult channels that pay their wages are'nt welcome anymore, whch is a shame. !hmmm!

You're getting the former BGAFD parties and the "industry only" UKAP parties mixed up WigBilly.

I really enjoyed the BGAFD party at Mass in Brixton some years ago, it was very busy and Mass is a great venue.

However under the present economic climate, I expect it wouldn't be so packed as it was then, but all the same, I'm sure it would be a viable idea.

Frightening how if you add one letter to a word like, "hitter" it would completely change its meaning! lol

Well, you have posed a very good question and one that I have perused with much thought and I've come to the solemn conclusion that in fact, I haven't the faintest idea how to promote such an event!I believe the event that I refer to was in fact promoted by Strictly Broadband, but I may well be wrong.

I suppose in principle it's quite simple, you decide a date, book the venue and then sell tickets and lose sleep for a couple of months hoping people buy them.

My friends at UKAP have promoted a number of events in the past, possibly they'd be interested in promoting a BGAFD , "Night of a Thousand Stars!"

Well, Jimbo, happy to exercise my sense of irony by placing a number of beach towels over a few tables in a bierkeller such as that in Old St (next door to Moorfields Eye hospital). There's one near my - Tower Bridge - manor, too.

That would hardly make it an 'industry event' with gravitas. Rather a pub meet! But happy to stand each attendee a pretzel - each. Or a pint (with a straw for each punter).
