DJ can you kindly explain to everyone that this is some kind of nasty, Tory plot and if New Labour had been in power they would have increased the minimum wage to ?10 per hour with a guaranteed 40 weeks paid leave per year FOR ALL! !grin!

In fact my sources inform me that New Labour has filched one of the songs off The "Wizard of Oz" to use in their next election campaign, mainly because of the statement:

"We get up at 12
and start to work at 1
Take an hour for lunch
And then at 2 we're done
jolly good fun!"



They're just having trouble replacing the line, "Merry Old Land of Oz" with "Merry Old Land of......New Labour!"

How kind of the Tory led government to put up the minimum wage by a whole 15P in October. I am going to vote Tory in the next election because even in this situation where our country's credit card has been maxed out(insert your own overworked, totally incorrect Tory cliche here instead if you like), our kind, "we are all in it together" government has found a way to bestow a gift on the poorest paid. As I write they are dancing in the streets of Blackpool. See example below

But wait a moment, while the Government says this will benefit almost 1 million workers, the 2.5% rise is far lower than the current 5.5% rate of Retail Prices Index inflation. This means effective pay cuts for those on the base salary if inflation remains the same because they would be able to buy less with their cash!!!!!!!!!!

Fuck me, those Tory boys are stiffing us again. Who would have thought it?
