Why do you begrudge the big pay cheque Frank?

If she was on above average wage for every film she starred in she woud have been broke as a joke.

As for fcukingup the studio system...Not really, high wages in the game of Hollywood blockbusters has propelled technology forward even faster for it.

Yeah I agree $20 million for a movie is fucking ridiculous but hey, if it was me getting it I wouldnt complain and lets not forget, these people commanded that kind of money for the mere fact they put bums on seats therefore deserve a slice of the action for doing so.

Late for her funeral

Post by David Johnson »

Elizabeth Taylor came across as a real Hollywood star. There's been a number of her quotes in the various obituaries.

On the subject of film payments mentioned elsewhere in the thread "If someone's dumb enough to offer me a million dollars to make a picture, I'm certainly not dumb enough to turn it down."

She was very supportive of Aids charities at a time when it wasn't fashionable "I don't think President Bush is doing anything at all about Aids. In fact, I'm not sure he even knows how to spell Aids."

And had a good line in self-deprecation "I am a very committed wife. And I should be committed too - for being married so many times."

On the news this morning it said that her funeral was held and the coffin was 15 mins late on arrival. Apparently she left instructions in her will that she should be late for her own funeral.

RIP Elizabeth
