10,000 Police To Be Sacked by 2012
Re: 10,000 Police To Be Sacked by 2012
Just great when there will be a load of veterans returning from Iraq and Libya with post traumatic stress disorders compounding the usually problematic resettlement of forces personnel.

""Im waiting for Jimslip to say its all New Labour's fault."
It's not new labours fault ( I'm not busy).
Do you think the supporters of the Tories will go on blaming everything on the previous government? They've been in power a year or so. It's wearing very thin as an excuse already.
Cheers

I hate to have to say it Dave, but it IS indeed New Labour's fault there are no police on the streets. This was the BIG IDEA of New Labour:
CCTV CCTV CCTV CCTV and CCTV
You see, the idea of festooning the whole of the UK with CCTV had alot of appeal for New Labour. Firstly it fitted in neatly with their repressed Stalinistic need to eavesdrop and snoop on everyone. Secondly, the "Right on" brigade that had been installed by NL, into all the police forces, thought CCTV was brilliant. You see all you had to do, was turn the police from being "Pro active" into being "Re-Active". ie you didn't have to patrol the streets anymore, just wait for someone to be beaten up or stabbed on CCTV and roll up after the event, mop up the blood and look for the perpetrator, if you could be bothered.
The police could then spend their time being politically correct and filling out forms and concentrating on how to mock up dodgy stats to prove to everyone, that most city centres in the UK at night are NOT lawless wastelands, but merely a figment of their imagination.
Spookily enough Stalin did the same thing in the 1930's, he decreed that under Communism there could be no crime, as everyone was completely fulfilled and happy. Naturally if you disagreed you were tortured and then killed.
Haven't you ever noticed in the old black and white films how when a policeman stumbled on a crime being committed, he could simply BLOW A FUCKING WHISTLE to get reinforcements? Can you imagine how many cops must have been patrolling in those days, to be able to hear a whistle from a colleague?
You're right Dave we wont notice these "28,000 missing cops", 'cos all their doing is pen pushing and organising hopscotch workshops for disabled lesbian collectives!
Cue David Johnson to suggest, "Jim try to think more clearly, sit down and I'll just administer this sedative and explain to you why you are wrong and I am right, I am sure you'll understand. If you don't then I'll have to introduce you to one of my re-educators who will use "Other" means to persuade you, just how wrong you are!. Now repeat after me EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL UNDER NEW LABOUR EVERYTHING WAS WONDERFUL UNDER NEW LABOUR WONDER LABOUR NEW WVERY zzzzzzzzzz!adolf!

So when Mervyn King said the global recession was caused by the banking sector and that he has been surprised that people have not been more angry at the way Jo Public has suffered because of that sector, I assume you think he is just some left wing Commie then?
And as for the US, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Iceland etc etc, it's obvously all Labour's fault too, isn't it?
And the fact that when Labour left government, unemployment was going down, the growth rate was going up, but under the Tories it slumped because we had the wrong type of snow and unemployment is going up? Meanwhile the OBR downgraded Osborne's growth forecast today. That's all Labour's fault too, I guess?

Dear Lizard, insults are no substitute for talking sense. I don't want you to become even more obsessed about me than you appear to be already so I am not going into the ins and outs of my finances. Especially given that it is absolutely no business of yours.
For my part, I have no interest whatsoever in how you make your money or your employment status.
But please note: not being busy at a particular moment does not necessarily equate to being on benefits.
Cheers

Yeah right.
And you call me predictable! Are you available for a week on Monday to have your frontal lobes attached to the mains in Millbank House?
I think Freud touched on this paranoia where a single event in your early years, in your case not being able to trouser a council flat and make a huge profit, resulted in a deep-seated hatred developing and festering over the decades.
