Here's a little brain teaser, what would day to day life be like for people like us, if Sharia Law was ever adopted throughout the UK?

I think Mons Lizard, as a "rough guide" to punishments meted out in Sharia Courts, the word, "Death" and "Hacking" seem to appear rather alot . I think the UK Courts would be toned down a little, as it's sort of, "Against the law" lol, to behead people over here, well, at the moment, but I believe New Layabout, had plans, to allow each court to have maybe a dozen or so beheadings a year, for really bad stuff, like watching porn or for a wife that, kind of smiles at another bloke or doesn't cook properly or maybe for a wayward daughter that stays out after 10pm. After all it was Ayatolla Komeni who famously said, "THERE IS NO FUN IN ISLAM!"

Anyway, I was wondering if I should write to the Saudi Arabian embassy and ask if they might think of setting up , "Christian Courts" as part of a multi cultural policy that would enable ex pat Christians and Westerners to sort out there own problems, without recourse to the Sharia system. I'll let you know what happens!

Obviously if these courts are over-egging their powers and trying to convince people they are something they are not, then the government should step in, in the same way as they should step in with regard to the preaching of racial hatred and unacceptable violence on kids, irrespective of where it is in the UK and irrespective of the religious faith of the people going in for this stuff.

To repeat, if the Sharia law courts judgments contradict English civil law they are not legal. So unless I am missing something, these courts have no impact on the law in this country.

I am sure that there are a number of Catholic priests in the UK that preach hellfire if a young girl has an abortion. Does this impact on English civil law? I don't thinks so.

if these sharia courts are operating illegally then they should be closed down. End of.
