Really! I am surprised at this. I really liked it. They only ran about 3 episodes, I think, so it's hardly giving it enough time to build up a regular following.

Apparently the independent company that produced it are looking for another channel to commission it.

Compared to a lot of the dross which is now on Beeb 1 I would have thought it would have been a great idea to keep it.

Traditionally the BBC has been good with comedy. At least their productions were half hour episodes compared to most ITV drivel which was 2 twelve minute scenes with shyte adverts. Few ITV comedies were succesful, Rising Damp is one that springs to mind though.

That's a real shame. Thoroughly enjoyed the few episodes we did get and was looking forward to a second series.

No doubt it'll be replaced by "Behind the scenes at behind the scenes at Strictly" a 2 hour weekly special at how the "Behind the scenes at Strictly" is made!! !furious!

I'd watch Caterina Murino read the phone book. She was the hottest woman on TV in years.

As for the critics on the other thread who expressed surprise at Italians all speaking English, they weren't. They were meant to be speaking Italian but, to make the series more saleable, we hear it as English.

It's a trick I've seen in war films where the Germans begin a conversation in German with subtitles and after a few seconds we hear them speak English. It's still supposed to be German, we're just hearing it in English for our convenience.

Either way, I'm disappointed over the news.
