Re: The reality for us under a Muslim Uprising!
@Jim: The chances of a minority - which the Muslims are - overtaking the rest of the UK population are slim at best. Also what makes you think the majority, the Christians - if they were to ever undertake a religious reawakening - would be any different?
Re: The reality for us under a Muslim Uprising!
The chances of a "Christian reawakening" in the UK is about as likely as pigs flying in formation. Muslims have one thing in common, a network of communication in the form of their mosques. This is not to suggest that they are plotting to overthrow anybody, as yet. But, if they were to start plotting en masse, they have a ready made "cellular" form of command and control that would be extremely effective in the event they really did one day become radicalized. They would be formidable.

Too late, Jimbo, too late. No good taking a step back now.
I have already passed your name onto the feared and deadly Arab bogeymen e.g. example below

Sleep tight, but don't forget to check the door and window locks first and have a good look under the bed. Can't be too careful when we are in the middle of a war on terror in deepest Cheam.
Sweet dreams !wink!

Is it the pharmaceutical companies trying to sell us flu vaccinations or the Muslims we should be most worried about?
I used to spend a lot of time criticizing Islam on here in the noughties - but things are much better now.
Re: Jimbo
No David, I am NOT TAKING A STEP BACK, with the Middle East in flames at the moment, I think there is a potential threat from Muslim Fundamentalists in the UK. Unlike you, I am NOT so bound and gagged by political correctness, that if some handed me a round hand held device which said "BOMB" on it, I wouldn't say "Oh it must be a it's Christmas pudding, how nice!"......BAAAAAANG!!
Anyway, Ravis was suggesting we could be just as easily under threat from Aliens and Christians as well as Radical Muslims. So I ask you if you had to meet one of the following, "Threats" in the boxing ring who would take on?

Definitely the third one, because he can't see properly and he won't be able to see my right hook haymaker. That was the very same punch that took out Billy James in junior school when he was being a nuisance.
The middle one has extra-terrestrial powers, obviously and as for that bloke with the big hat? I wouldn't mess with those eyebrows and do you know how heavy all that gold will be when it's wrapped round your neck? Besides he has a huge network of revolutionary cadre workshops, sometimes called churches, to call on.
Never mind political correctness, I would just want to win the scrap.
Cheers

Re: The reality is moderate muslims wouldnt
The contingent who the extreme imams get to and convert are a small portion of the Islamic community...would take them many decades of remaining silent and going under the radar to become a real threat
Even then the state could brutally snuffed them out if they resorted to anything resembling terrorist tactics
Ask any moderate Muslim wether the imams speak for them and most will tell you NO
I'd love to see the extremists try something like that in a western country
The police would hold them at bay and the military would crush them if they resorted to the tactics you see in far flung places like tunisia & india
Having said all that i think it makes a lot of sense that you scrutinise who comes into your country
Asking probing questions so those that think secular society & the law should be replaced with a theocracy are kept out makes a lot of sense.

Re: The reality for us under a Muslim Uprising!
Except that there isn't such a 'network'. A lot of these mosques are split between sectarian lines and view each other as a greater threat than the US or any other western power. The only western country these extremists are interested in taking over is Spain as it was once under Muslim control and which they seek to 'reclaim'.
