2012 end of world

I see in the Press that film-maker George Lucas, along with several
other Hollywood celebrities including Dan Aykroyd, seem convinced
that the World will end next year !!! This is due, some say, to the
fact that the ancient Mayan Long Calendar runs out in 2012.
I would be interested to know other opinions from my fellow bgafd
folk ?
And if the World is going to end are there any things you want to do
before it all comes to an end in 24 months time !!!!

The Mayan calendar was written until 2012, but in no way was that a prediction of the world ending in that year - it just so happened that was all they could be bothered to plan out.

all these events and more..

After that date, it will be a start of new 5000 year cycle.

Well the millennium came and went with nothing worse than a bit of a hangover (even the "Millennium Bug" was a damp squib). And all this 2012 stuff is more of the same horseshite.

After 2012 someone will come up with another date when "the world is going to end" and it'll be the same fucking thing all over again. In fact this nonsense has been going on for the past 2000 years. I can't believe that there are people who actually believe this shit. Get a fucking grip, I say!!!
